The Council's Sustainability Adviser helps the wider Nelson community engage in actions that benefit environmental, economic, and social sustainability. The Sustainability Adviser is responsible for a range of educational services, including waste minimisation, recycling at events, Ecofest, Environment Awards, and individual programmes such as home composting through Create Your Own Eden and urban food growing through the Grow It Partnership.
