Library online resources provide up-to-date, reliable and easy to understand information to help with many different topics. All you need to use them is a library card; these can also be accessed from home via our website (some conditions apply).

Encyclopaedia Britannica - provides three different levels of information for different ages and is a great site for homework answers.
Biography Resource Center database- a fantastic site for in-depth but easy to read and understand biographies. It provides accounts from a wide range of biographical resources and includes pictures and specific breakdowns of achievements timelines and goals.
Opposing Viewpoints - this is great for debates and for looking at multiple/ different views on different and often controversial subjects
Index New Zealand - describes over half a million articles published in New Zealand over the past 20 years. It covers a range of times and many are available in full text.
Australia/ New Zealand Reference Centre - the Australia/NZ Reference Centre combines Australasian magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books to create the largest collection of full text content available to libraries in Oceania. This database includes leading Australia/NZ periodicals and international periodicals in full text. It includes over 84,000 full text biographies and and Image Collection of over 440 000 photos, maps and flags.
Oxford Reference - brings together language and subject reference works from one of the world's biggest reference publishers into a single cross-searchable resource.
