Santa Parade and Toy Fair rescheduled for Sunday

The Santa Parade, Christmas Carnival and Toy Fair at Founders Heritage Park is planned for this Sunday, after heavy rain saw it postponed last weekend. 

The Santa Parade will kick off at 1pm Sunday 11 December, travelling through the CBD and arriving at Founders Heritage Park at 2pm.  The Nelson City Council Park will be in full swing with a Christmas Carnival atmosphere, including Christmas food stalls, music and entertainment put on by Classic Hits. The Founders Toy Fair will also be running from 2pm - 5pm in the Energy Centre. The Toy Fair is its second year and is a community fundraiser put on by Stoke and Tahuna Rotary Club.

The feature attraction, Santa himself, will be stationed in his grotto, ready to hear from all the boys and girls who have been good this year.

There will be a chance to take a closer look at the workmanship of the beautiful Christmas floats on display, as they will be in and around the park for all to enjoy.
