Temporary road closures

Temporary road closures are those that will be closed for less than two months for special events,  temporary road or infrastructure work.

Temporary road closure: Trafalgar Street, from Hardy Street to Selwyn Place

Time of closure: from 8:00 am Thursday 2 February 2012 until midnight Sunday 5 February 2012

Temporary road closure: Selwyn Place, from Trafalgar Square West to Trafalgar Square East

Time of closure: from 3:00 pm Saturday 4 February 2012 until midnight Sunday 5 February 2012

Temporary road closure: Park Street, from Hardy Street to Selwyn Place

Time of closure: from 3:00 pm Saturday 4 February 2012 until midnight Sunday 5 February 2012

This closure is for the Buskerburgoo Festival: international buskers performing day time street shows and evening stage shows.

Long-term road closures

Road closures that last longer than two months will be listed here as long term road closures.

Maitai Valley Road

from Smiths Ford Bridge to the Maitai dam

This section of road will remain closed until 31 May 2012, day and night. This closure is to enable the construction of a duplicate pipeline from the Maitai Dam.

Morrison Street

weekly on Wednesdays

All of Morrison Street  will be closed to ordinary traffic from 12noon until 6.30pm every Wednesday. This closure is to enable the Nelson Farmers Market  to be held at Fashion Island.
