  • Re-registering your child

To bring our library in line with other New Zealand libraries, we now require a guarantor to sign on behalf of any child aged 17 years or younger.

Previously parental/guarantor responsibility for library membership ceased for your child/children at age 16. Re-registering your child is quick and free

It's simple, quick and FREE!

Parents/Guarantors - you need to:

  1. Fill out a new membership form for each child with a library card (or get them to fill the forms out!).
  2. Bring the form/s back to the library.
  3. Show us your personal ID (driver's licence/passport etc).
  4. Confirm your address (bring proof of your current address, eg a recent account).
  5.  Staff will check that we have your child's correct details on our database and update as required.

Guarantors are responsible for the items borrowed on a child's card.
