Over the years Founders Park has become a highly-regarded venue for events open to the public with some of the shows returning time and time again.

The Granary

The Redwood Granary, the former home of the Catholic Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions, is a unique and welcoming facility for a variety of functions. The character wooden floor, high beams and wooden pillars create a special atmosphere for an event your guests will never forget. Seats 200 people with stage, bar and kitchen facilities. Maximum capacity 430.

Jaycee Room

Opened on the 40th anniversary of Nelson Jaycee Inc. the Jaycee Room is now situated on in the corner of the Founders Village. The Jaycee Room is carpeted, with nice indoor outdoor flow onto paved patio. Seats 80 people, with kitchen facilities.

Energy Centre

The Energy Centre can comfortably seat up to 500 guests (theatre style) and is perfect for large conferences, meetings, seminars and many more. This extraordinary building is a superb venue for an unforgettable event. Asphalted floor, maximum capacity 700 people.

Charges

Full Park Hire for Public Events

  • Price per day $800.00 (+GST)
  • + $2.00 per ticket sold or 20% of gate sales (includes GST)

N.B.: A Public Event Contract is to be negotiated. All new events are required to submit an event application for approval by the Facility Manager.

Available on request at no additional charge.

  • Tables: 23 @ 8 ft long, 5 @ 6ft long
  • Chairs: 280 black chairs
  • Wooden bar, cash register, stage

Cleaning

As Founder’s Heritage Park is a community facility, the expectation is that the grounds and all facilities are left clean and tidy on your departure. Founders Park cleaning services need to be booked in advance. Please contact Founders Park for a current pricing schedule.
