Pre-lodgement meetings

For commercial projects over $50,000 and/or a change of use, a pre-lodgement meeting will be required a minimum of three weeks before the formal lodgement of the building consent.

At this meeting building officers will identify issues such as access, fire, and other areas for which you may need to talk to further Council staff members before you lodge the consent.

For example, your project may require a resource consent. If this is the case it could be identified at a pre-lodgement meeting.

At the pre-lodgement meeting a building officer will check that you have the Commercial Industrial Check Sheet and help you understand how to complete it.

  • Site plans
  • Floor plans
  • Elevations
  • Any other information you think will help understand the project
