Parents and teachers

In the Children’s Library we provide:

• Free loans of books, magazines, talking books, DVDs and CDs.
• Free reserves for children’s items.
• Reading advice.
• A collection of parenting books and magazines.
• Homework help.
• Computers.
• Preschool sessions.
• Holiday programmes. We run various activities for school age children during the school holidays. (See the What’s on for KidZ section on the website or Boredom Busters Magazine for details).
• Summer Reading Programme. 5-11 year olds have the opportunity to participate in the Summer Reading Programme which runs through December and January. This fantastic programme helps to develop and maintain good reading habits. Children receive incentives for reading and visiting the library regularly. (Enrolments in early December).

• We welcome preschool and school visits or we can visit your school/preschool. To arrange a visit please contact the Children's Library staff (Phone 546 0409).
