Online payments

You can make payments to Council using a Visa or MasterCard via this secure online form. Choose one of the payment types below (only one payment at a time can be made) and fill out the required fields.

Please note the instructions for each type of payment, particularly to enter the correct reference number required.

Once you have filled out the form and clicked the 'Make a Payment' button, you will be taken off Council's site to Westpac to process your payment. When your payment is complete, you will return to the Council website.

Payment convenience fees

Your credit card will be charged a transaction fee. Processing fees for online credit card payments, 2% of the transaction, are added to the payment amount for credit card processing by Council’s bank and 20 cents for online credit card validation by Payment Express. These will not be itemised on your bank statement, but included in the transaction total.

Payment type description: The required reference number for rates payments is the Valuation Roll Number on your invoice. It will look like this: 191234567AR

Payment type description: The required reference number for water payments is the Customer Billing Number on your invoice. It will look like this: W123456

Payment type description: The required reference number for marina fees is the Customer Number on your invoice. It will look like this: M10003

Payment type description: The required reference number for parking fees is the PIN Number on your docket. It has six digits and will look like this: 123456

Payment type description: The required reference number is your library card number. It is 14 numbers long and will look like this: 2826000XXXXXXX

Payment type description: The required reference number for resource consent payments is the number on your invoice that looks like this: RM654321

Payment type description: The required reference number for building consent payments is the number on your invoice that looks like this: BC123456

Payment type description: The required 'Reference Number' for this payment should be MEN'S ACTIVATOR.
