A meeting is required to lodge your building consent. At this time, a building officer will check the consent for completeness (this includes the pre-vet that happens after acceptance).

A complete application includes

• the commercial building consent application form filled in correctly (2.4MB PDF)
• check sheet completed (225KB PDF)
• the correct number of plans and specifications
• specified system detail form(s) completed (25KB PDF)
• alternative solutions are addressed (27KB PDF)
• earthquake prone building initial assessment

If the building officer identifies information that is missing, you will be required to gather the missing information before your application is accepted. You will need to book another lodgement meeting to have the application's completeness checked again.

If the application is complete, the officer will accept it over the counter where you will be issued a Building Consent number and the documents will be taken for a technical check.
