Nelson Public Libraries’ new online catalogue, Discovery
Search, is one of the most exciting innovations the
libraries have embraced in recent years and gives the public
the ability to “Discover” a huge range of resources from
right across library collections. Searching the catalogue and Libraries' online resources
In fact, it can seem a little overwhelming at first. A
simple search for a book title might bring up hundreds of
results because the Discovery Search will search across
physical resources as well as databases, and through journal
articles, book reviews and so on.…

Car Manuals Online
Nelson Public Libraries has two new online resources: a
car manual database, and a “small engine” repair
database. Auto Repair Reference Centre includes a huge range of car

Read newspapers from around the world
Nelson Public Libraries now provide access to
PressDisplay, which offers the digital editions, on the day
of publication, of national and local newspapers published
by Fairfax around the world, and in a range of languages. There is good coverage of New Zealand newspapers,
including local papers the Nelson Mail and the Leader. Papers are available for 90 days from date of publication,
are fully searchable, with print, email, translation and
audio options.…

Zealand awards, scholarships and grants for individuals
