Nelson Public Libraries’ new online catalogue, Discovery
Search, is one of the most exciting innovations the
libraries have embraced in recent years and gives the public
the ability to “Discover” a huge range of resources from
right across library collections. Searching the catalogue and Libraries' online resources
In fact, it can seem a little overwhelming at first. A
simple search for a book title might bring up hundreds of
results because the Discovery Search will search across
physical resources as well as databases, and through journal

has just got easier with the installation of a new library
management system that includes leading edge search

The Nelson Public Libraries now offer a cell phone/mobile
edition of the library catalogue. It is now even easier to
look up books or any other library items, place reserve
requests, check on your account, and more with the library's
catalogue on your iPhone, Blackberry, or mobile device of
choice!
This cell phone friendly version of the libraries’
catalogue loads quickly and is easy to read on a small
screen. Together with free Wi-Fi offered in the Libraries
it’s an ideal and convenient searching tool for all
library users who are keen on using their own mobile devices
