Nelson Public Libraries’ new online catalogue, Discovery Search, is one of the most exciting innovations the libraries have embraced in recent years and gives the public the ability to “Discover” a huge range of resources from right across library collections. New Library Management System on its way

Project background Nelson Public Libraries are joining New Zealand’s most ambitious shared library computer system, “Kōtui”, on 4 November 2011. Kōtui aims to provide customers with enhanced searching and browsing facilities and the libraries with the advantages of working co-operatively in a consortium which includes eight other New Zealand libraries, including Tasman and Marlborough. Opening time All three libraries (Elma Turner Library, Stoke Library and Tahunanui/Nightingale Library Memorial) will be closed from Tuesday 1 November to Thursday 3 November, inclusive, for installation of the new software.…
