Condition 1451: means that a building on the property is awaiting or part way through the earthquake prone building process. It will apply to all properties with pre-1980 buildings until such time as the Council is satisfied that all of the buildings are confirmed as not earthquake prone under the Building Act 2004. If there are older buildings on the property, then, in the absence of other information (see below), you should assume that they have not yet been reviewed and the condition will in due course be applied.

A General Property Information listing of the contents of the ‘site file’ indicates what resource consents, building consents, compliance schedules and other information that is applicable to the property that the Council has on record. This other information might include;
