Golf club

 

A building surrounded by trees. The Waahi Taakaro Golf Club provides a warm and supportive environment for all members of the community who enjoy golf.  Regular and diverse competitions attract players wishing to improve their games.  An active and robust social atmosphere makes the club experience enjoyable no matter what your level of play.

The club’s ongoing commitment to golf is well demonstrated by active support for the Junior Programme.  Many of our members have been trained and certified by the NZGA to teach a training curriculum designed by the NZGA to introduce golf to children from the age of five.

Club Day

Open to all players.  A draw selects playing foursomes and start times. Walk-ons are accommodated.

Day: Saturday

Time: 10:00 to 2:00 (subject to seasonal change)

Ladies Club

Ladies can elect to join with others playing either nine or eighteen holes.

Day: Tuesday

Time: 10:00 AM  (subject to seasonal change)

Golden Oldies

This group for players 60 and over is a nine-hole competition.

Day: Thursday

Time: 10:00 AM  (subject to seasonal change)

Fees

  • Adults: $350
  • Junior (to 13): $38
  • Junior (14 to 17): $72
  • Junior (18 to 20): $150
