Research your family history - 3 workshops

New Zealand Society of Genealogists Nelson Branch & Nelson Public Libraries present a series of Researching your Family History workshops with well known Nelson genealogist Judith Fitchett.

If you have been thinking of doing genealogical research but haven’t known where to begin then this is the workshop for you. It will be an exciting journey of discovery as you learn where and how to research and document your family information.

When?

The course consists of three workshops at Elma Turner Library .

  • May 7th 9.00am to 10.30am
  • May 14th 9.00am to 10.30am
  • May 21st 9.00am to 10.30am

What can you expect?

  • Participants start with themselves and work backward to produce a family tree.
  • Participants learn where and how to search for information and what the Internet can offer them.
  • Resources in the library will be a starting point.
  • Numbers are strictly limited.
