Founders Heritage Park is a replica historic village containing many of the old historic buildings and artefacts of Nelson. Nelsonians created this historic townscape featuring real and replica buildings, much as they were in colonial days of the 19th century.

Enjoy the charms of days gone by. At Founders Heritage Park experience life as it was in Nelson in the 1880s to 1930s. Stroll through the character streets, tranquil established gardens and discover charming village greens.
During the summer months take a ride on the train, meet residence artists working in ceramics, wrought iron, stone jewellery and the ancient art of cooperage.
Treat yourself to the delights of the L’Artisan Bakery and Kerstiens Chocolates. Relax and dine alfresco at the Founders Café and Organic Brewery where beer tastings are available.
Founders Heritage Park hosts; weekly Farmers Market 3-6pm every Friday evening, quarterly Craft Beer Festivals, March Fest, Festival of Opportunities, Antique to Retro Extravaganza, Queen's Birthday Book Fair and many more popular events.

Location and HoursFounders Heritage Park is located at 87 Atawhai Drive in Nelson.
It is open daily from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm (except Good Friday and Christmas Day).
24 tenants operate from the park including barrel maker, wrought iron, childcare companies.
Several community groups and clubs use Park facilities regularly.
