Voting information

There were 241 Special Voting papers returned and these are still to be counted before the final result can be released.

Voter turnout was 50.68% compared with 48.8% in the 2004 Local Body Election.

The above results are preliminary until the official declaration on Saturday 20 October.

The new Council's inaugural meeting and swearing in ceremony are scheduled for 30 October.

Nelson Marlborough District Health Board

14 October: These results are provisional as the electoral officer has only received 98% of the Marlborough votes and the special votes also need to be counted. This will be undertaken and a final result issued as soon as possible.
