Search our collections with a Discovery or traditional catalogue search


We now have two ways to search the library collections.

Start your search from the library website, or library catalogue, and you will search across our physical collections, and some of our online resources, with our Discovery Search.

Tips:

• To limit this search to catalogue only, tick “catalogue only” under search options, or refine your results at the left of the result screen when you have run your search.
• You can also limit results to see items from your library branch only, or to material type, or by date. Explore!
• Login to the Discovery catalogue to get full access to the full-text material from our online resources (either PDF or Html) – enter your full library barcode and pin no.
• If you want to save your searches and save favourite items in a folder, "Log-In to Ebsco" and create a personalised account.
• Note that you are not (yet) able to search across all of our online resources on the Discovery search. Explore our online resources page to see what else we have available.

Start your search from My Account and you will only search across the Library catalogue of our physical resources

Tips

• You will be directed to this screen whenever you click to request an item in the Discovery layer
• Log on with your full library barcode and pin no. To see what you have out (checkouts), your holds (reserves) and your place in the queue: click on "Review my Account".  
• To make lists: search for items, “keep” them and create and make active a “permanent list”.

More online resources will be added to the Discovery search over time. It will change and improve. Try it out and contact library staff if you need assistance.
