Free computer training classes

If you'd like to learn how to use a computer mouse, navigate the Library catalogue or use our online resources book for one of our free lessons, held Thursday mornings during the school term, 10 - 11.30 am.

Bookings are essential for these classes; book at the Information Services Desk or ring (Ph: 546 0414).

Current range of classes offered:

  • Mouse skills training
    • for beginners who have little or no experience with a computer mouse.
    • if you cannot attend a class - try the Mouse tutorial
  • Library catalogue
    • How to access and use the catalogue, both from your home and in the library.
  • Basic Internet training  - an introduction to the Internet
  • Databases and research on the Internet
    • a look at the range of research databases provided by the Library, both from your home via our website and in the library. How to access newspaper, magazine articles, encyclopaedias, scholarly articles and more.
