Collection Policy

The collection at Founders Heritage Park primarily relates to the history of the Nelson region 1880s- 1950, with the bulk of items falling within the 1900-1930 period. Founders Heritage Park aims to build on the main features of the existing collection by selectively acquiring and retaining objects and information which will enhance and complement these collections while avoiding unnecessary duplication.
