Sunshine Youth Coach
The Nelson Sunshine Youth Coach was donated to Nelson in 1998 and is available for groups who wish to transport people under the age of 17. The Nelson bus is one of a national fleet of 40 Sunshine Coaches, that the Variety Club NZ gifted for transportation of young New Zealanders.
There is a diverse range of groups who are currently using the bus, however as a valuable community resource Council is always looking for ways to increase awareness of the bus and welcome new users. Access to the bus is often the difference between a trip being affordable or not, particularly for young children.
Current members include junior sporting clubs, cultural groups, church groups, schools, and other youth orientated community groups. The bus is housed at Jack Robbins Basketball Stadium in Stoke.
