Nelson City Council

The Adam Chamber Music Festival began in 1992 with a group of friends performing five concerts in Nelson at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. The intimate, smaller venues of the region recapture the essence of chamber music and performed in the country’s ‘Sunshine Capital’, the relaxed and friendly atmosphere offers a unique musical experience.

Joining the New Zealand String Quartet for a schedule of 30 events in the 11th Adam Festival will be

• Canadian clarinettist James Campbell
• New York pianist Diane Walsh
• the Hermitage String Trio from Europe
• a Kiwi contingent led by acclaimed tenor Keith Lewis and Michael Houstoun
